Johan Dempers, the visionary behind Survival Africa, began his journey by joining the South African Defence Force at 19. He later worked in security and logistics roles across Southern Africa and the Middle East, gaining hard-earned field experience that shaped Survival Africa’s practical, no-nonsense approach.
Muldene Dempers has exceptional people skills, stays calm under pressure, and has a natural gift for solving problems when plans go sideways. Her adventurous spirit truly ignited during an expedition to the Amazon, where her love for the wild and unknown took root — and never left.
Together, their journeys through Russia, São Tomé, the Amazon and beyond laid the foundation for Survival Africa — delivering reliable equipment and training for real-world needs in security, protection, mining, and search-and-rescue.
