Johan Dempers

Johan joined the South African Defence Force at just 19 years old and went on to serve in South Africa, South West Africa (Namibia), and Angola. After the end of those conflicts, he continued to serve in private military operations across Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. But Johan’s adventures didn’t stop there. He has explored the Andes highlands and Amazon basin in Peru and Brazil by canoe and led highly-praised photographic expeditions and adventures to locations in South America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. It’s no wonder that Johan’s real-life experiences have formed the foundation for Survival Africa, which offers top-quality equipment and training in survival.
